Remarkable Speakers In Uncommon Surroundings
The Alchemy Agency breathes new life into Manchester’s events scene. Spend an evening with us at the medieval Chetham’s Library on 24th May 2012. Join us to be inspired....
1. The event will start with a guided tour of the oldest library in the English-speaking world; Chetham’s Library, the meeting place of Marx and Engels and many more remarkable thought-leaders. You will take a journey 400 years back in time into the mysterious world of Dr John Dee, Manchester’s first known Alchemist (Popularised in Damon Albarn’s recently revered opera ‘Doctor Dee’)
2. You will meet a wide range of Manchester's thinkers and doers from various sectors over a glass of wine (or two!)
3. You will have the opportunity to listen to some of the most talented young musicians in the world.
4. ...and, of course, learn from our passionate team of modern-day Alchemists, bringing inspiration and using the power of ideas to change attitudes

Richard McCann: No one ever said that life would be easy, and Richard McCann knows a thing or two about adversity. After a chaotic childhood, Richard was able to focus on the key strategies that helped him to grow beyond just surviving and create the life he wanted. Now he’s a Sunday Times best selling author and an inspirational speaker on the international circuit.
Nicky Pattinson: As with many of us these days, Nicky's life has had its share of tragedy, but her road to recovery led her to sales superstardom – both for herself and the people she works with. Today, the fiery Yorkshire red-head is a famous international motivational business speaker working with many famous brands helping them increase their sales through her expertise in making people magnetic.
Vikas Shah: Vikas is an award winning entrepreneur and thought leader. He has interviewed leading thinkers from around the world on the key issues faced by business and society. He has gained remarkable insight from his interviews with stellar people including Buzz Aldrin (Apollo Astronaut), Jimmy Wales (Founder of Wikipedia), Noam Chomsky (Linguist and Philospher) and FW De Clerk (engineer of the end of apartheid in South Africa).
David Yeoman: David has studied the power of language and how it influences our mind and body connection. Having co-owned a multimillion pound business, he had first-hand experience of the emotional and people challenges faced on a daily basis by employees & leaders.
